Hey fans, on this day in 1777 the Continental Congress adopted our flag. Of course back then there were only 13 stars, and later 'The Star Spangled Banner' was written about the version with 15 stars' but anyway it's the same essential design.

Future versions of the flag may have to squeeze in even more stars, but that's happened 28 times over the years, so we'll figure it out.
