Lexus, one of the top automotive luxury brands in the U.S., is serving as the "official vehicle" of the 2012 U.S. Women's Open in Kohler, July 5-8. With this distinction, Lexus is providing a fleet of nearly 240 Lexus vehicles to be used by the players and United States Golf Association (USGA) officials.

The U.S. Women's Open will be played at the historic Blackwolf Run golf course. At 6,812 yards, Blackwolf Run ranks as the longest Women's Open venue ever to be played at sea level.

"We consider this a great honor to be affiliated with the U.S. Women's Open," said Dan Swartz, General Manager of the Lexus Central Area. "This tournament has a long tradition for excellence and we feel privileged to be playing a supporting role in this incredible event."

For the past five years, Lexus and the USGA have enjoyed an unprecedented multi-year partnership, with Lexus serving as the automotive partner of the USGA and the official vehicle of the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open, U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Amateur. Lexus is the only automotive partner in the USGA's 117-year history.

This tournament comes on the heels of the recent J.D. Power & Associates' Initial Quality Study announcement naming Lexus the number one nameplate in the industry, based on lowest number of problems per 100 vehicles, in the first 90 days of ownership.

About Lexus Lexus is a luxury automaker with a reputation for high-quality products and exemplary customer service. With 229 dealers across the U.S., Lexus has been the top-selling luxury automaker for 11 of the past 12 years. Lexus is also the luxury hybrid leader, offering four hybrids that provide the best in innovative technology and first-class luxury. When Lexus was established in 1989, it offered two models of vehicles. Now, more than 20 years later, Lexus offers variations of nine vehicles, from the sporty CT 200h hybrid to the V10 supercar, the LFA.
